A Message From Mike

Since I started my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I have traveled to more than 50 counties, talking to Tennesseans about what matters to them, what they need from their senator - and what they're not getting. I like to call this a "front-porch" campaign. I have chatted with folks all across the state, having the kind of conversations that neighbors, families or friends might gather for - on the front porch. The high cost of gas and groceries. The difficulty of dealing with our health care. The young heroes in Iraq who we want to come home. I'd like to share what I am hearing with you in a journal I am calling "The View From The Front Porch." The first one comes from visits this Wednesday to Fayette, Hardeman and Chester counties. Let me hear from you. Weigh in on the conversations I am having with your fellow Tennesseans. There are two ways you can do that: either through my Web site or by e-mail to mikepadgett@votepadgett.com. After all, I get my best ideas from you. As you know, today, with gas prices approaching $4 a gallon, its costs over $65 to fill up the truck and get around to every county in Tennessee. Every donation you make of $65 or more helps us make our way around the state to discuss these front-porch issues. I'll see you on the front porch...Mike
